Cookie Policy
This Cookie Policy explains how StratScribe AI ("we," "us," or "our") uses cookies and similar technologies on stratscribe.com (the "Site"). This policy forms part of our Privacy Policy.
1. What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files placed on your device by a website when you visit it. They are widely used to make websites function correctly, operate efficiently, and to provide information to the website operator. Cookies may be "session cookies" (deleted when you close your browser) or "persistent cookies" (remaining on your device for a set period or until you delete them).
Similar technologies include local storage, session storage, and web beacons. References to "cookies" in this policy include these similar technologies where relevant.
2. How We Use Cookies
StratScribe uses a minimal approach to cookies. We do not use advertising cookies, tracking cookies, or third-party marketing pixels.
2.1 Strictly Necessary Cookies
These cookies are essential for the Site to function. They cannot be disabled.
| Cookie | Purpose | Type | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| Authentication session token (Supabase) | Keeps you logged in to your account | Session | Session / up to 7 days |
| CSRF token | Protects against cross-site request forgery attacks | Session | Session |
These cookies do not collect personal data for analytics or marketing purposes. They are required for you to access your account and use the Service.
2.2 Analytics
We use Plausible Analytics, a privacy-first analytics service, to understand how visitors use the Site. Plausible does not use cookies, does not collect personally identifiable information, does not use cross-site tracking, and does not share data with advertising networks. Plausible's data collection is fully compliant with GDPR without requiring cookie consent.
Because Plausible does not use cookies or collect personal data, it does not require disclosure under most cookie consent frameworks. We include it here for full transparency.
2.3 Payment Processing
When you proceed to checkout, Stripe's payment interface is loaded. Stripe may set cookies for fraud prevention and security purposes. These cookies are set by Stripe and are governed by Stripe's Cookie Policy. We do not control or have access to these cookies.
2.4 Cookies We Do Not Use
We do not use:
- Advertising or retargeting cookies (Google Ads, Meta Pixel, etc.)
- Social media cookies or sharing buttons
- Third-party analytics that track you across sites (e.g. Google Analytics)
- A/B testing tools that set persistent tracking cookies
- Session recording tools (e.g. Hotjar, FullStory)
3. Your Cookie Choices
Strictly necessary cookies
These cannot be disabled as they are required for the Site to function. If you disable them via your browser settings, you will not be able to log in or use the Service.
Browser controls
You can control cookies through your browser settings. Instructions for the most common browsers:
- Chrome: Settings > Privacy and security > Cookies and other site data
- Firefox: Settings > Privacy & Security > Cookies and Site Data
- Safari: Preferences > Privacy > Manage Website Data
- Edge: Settings > Cookies and site permissions
Note that blocking all cookies may prevent you from using core features of the Site.
Opt-out of Plausible Analytics
Because Plausible does not track you across sites or collect personal data, there is no tracking to opt out of in the traditional sense. Plausible respects the "Do Not Track" browser header. If you have "Do Not Track" enabled in your browser, Plausible will not record your visit.
4. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time. Material changes will be notified via email or a notice on the Site. The "Last updated" date at the top of this policy will always reflect the most recent revision.
